Dr. Tiffany Schafer is proud to be a part of the West Hills Animal Hospital & Emergency Center team. Originally from Long Island, NY, Dr. Schafer completed her undergraduate studies at Hunter College – CUNY, earning a Bachelor’s degree in History with a minor in Chemistry. She then pursued her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.
After veterinary school, Dr. Schafer completed a rotating internship in medicine and surgery at the ASPCA Bergh Memorial Animal Hospital in Manhattan. She began her career at a specialty and emergency hospital in Newtown, CT, before returning to Long Island in 2015 to join the West Hills team. Dr. Schafer has a particular interest in emergency medicine, with a focus on surgery and endoscopy.
Dr. Schafer resides on Long Island with her Rottweiler, Carl, and her four Pomeranians—Kerfluffle, Nugget, Roulette, and Swirl. Outside of work, she enjoys competing in dog sports such as agility, obedience, and rally, and loves hiking, traveling, and exploring new adventures.
