Education: Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Bukhanova (or Dr. Nova), was born and raised outside of the US in a small country, Belarus. She worked the majority of her life with animals, starting at a horse stable as a barn hand in her youth and eventually transitioning into small animal medicine, where she worked as a veterinary technician for six years alongside her mentor, Dr. Wise.
Dr. Nova attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine with encouragement and inspiration from Dr. Wise, and graduated at the top of her class Summa Cum Laude as well as with the recognition of Phi Zeta Veterinary Society.
While attending Veterinary School, her focus was in parasitology research and surgery. Dr. Nova’s special interests include trauma, respiratory distress, cardiac emergencies, endocrine emergencies as well as the occasional work with exotic pets. Improving her knowledge and skills are her ongoing passions. On her spare time, Dr. Nova is an avid motorcyclist and enjoys all sorts of adventures.
