Jared Coren

Dr. Coren serves as the Chief Veterinary Medical Officer of the West Hills Family of Hospitals and is proud to be part of a legacy built by his father, Dr. Alan Coren. Having grown up around the practice, Dr. Jared has held many roles at West Hills Animal Hospital, gaining firsthand experience and a deep-rooted passion for veterinary medicine from an early age.

Dr. Coren earned his Bachelor of Science degree Summa Cum Laude from Cornell University and went on to earn his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell as well, graduating in the top 10% of his class. He was inducted into the Phi Zeta Veterinary Honor Society and received several accolades, including the AKC Veterinary Outreach Award, the Finger Lakes Kennel Club Award (twice), and the Neuroanatomy and Clinical Neurology Award for his excellence in neurology.

Following veterinary school, Dr. Coren completed a rigorous internship in medicine and surgery at the renowned Animal Medical Center in New York City. He is an active member of the AVMA, NYSVMS, and LIVMA, and has been recognized as a Top Veterinarian on Long Island from 2014 to 2023.

Dr. Coren lives in New York City with his wife, Jessica, and their daughter, Dylan.
