A Simple Step That Can Bring a Lost Pet Home
Microchips are tiny devices, about the size of a grain of rice, implanted under your pet’s skin using a hypodermic needle. When someone scans the chip, it transmits an identification number that can be checked on the online microchip registry to find the pet’s owner as soon as possible. If you rescued your pet from a shelter or adopted them from another owner, we can scan them to see if they already have a microchip.
We Strongly Recommend That You Microchip Your Pet
Microchipped animals are far more likely to be reunited with their owners. One study of 7,700 stray dogs found that dogs with microchips were returned to their owners at more than double the overall rate.
We can microchip your pet during any routine office visit. No anesthesia is required.
