Jonathan Bingham

Dr. Bingham is one of our experienced overnight emergency veterinarians. Before pursuing veterinary medicine, Dr. Bingham began his professional career as a science educator. He earned a Master’s degree in Biology from St. John’s University and spent five years teaching Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at a prestigious private high school on Long Island’s south shore. He also served—and continues to serve—as an adjunct professor of Biology and Anatomy & Physiology at Suffolk County Community College.

Driven by a lifelong passion for animals, Dr. Bingham returned to school to earn his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University, graduating with honors in 2013. He completed his clinical training at Louisiana State University before returning to Long Island to practice veterinary medicine.

Dr. Bingham brings a calm, knowledgeable presence to our emergency team, blending his scientific background with a deep commitment to patient care. When he’s not at the hospital, he enjoys fishing along the south shore.
