Kristen Szendrey

Originally from Long Island, NY, Dr. Szendrey earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Sacred Heart University. She then attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical year at Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!). Dr. Szendrey completed a rotating internship in medicine and surgery at Atlantic Coast Veterinary Specialists in Bohemia. Afterward, she practiced for several years in Maryland at a large general practice and emergency facility similar to West Hills Animal Hospital & Emergency Center. Now back home, she is excited to join the WHAH family.

Dr. Szendrey has a special interest in exotic species but also loves caring for dogs and cats. Outside of work, you’ll find her hiking with her dog Khaleesi, reading, and attending sporting events and concerts.
