Silvia Rodriguez

Dr. Rodriguez was born in New Orleans, LA, and raised in Guatemala City. She earned her veterinary degree from Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala, the country’s only veterinary school. After graduation, she worked as a veterinarian at La Aurora National Zoo in Guatemala for five years.

Following her move to Mississippi, Dr. Rodriguez worked as a veterinary technician while earning her AVMA certification through the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG). She then completed two small animal internships before joining our hospital as a staff veterinarian.

Outside of work, Dr. Rodriguez enjoys outdoor activities and watching sports with her dog, Chino, whom she raised from just two weeks old.
