Stacey Ries

Dr. Stacey Ries earned both her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science (1991) and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (1995) from Cornell University. Originally from the Adirondacks, she has been practicing on Long Island since 1998. While Dr. Ries specializes in general small animal practice, she also has valuable experience in emergency and critical care, as well as shelter medicine, having spent two rewarding years as a staff veterinarian at The Michigan Humane Society in Detroit. Outside of work, Dr. Ries enjoys gardening, alpine mountaineering, ice climbing, obstacle course racing, and spending time with her family. She shares her home with five guinea pigs, a former junkyard cat named Opie, and a delightfully spoiled Beagle mix named Thelma.
