Emergency Veterinarian
Dr. Schafer, a Long Island native, earned her Bachelor’s in History with a Chemistry minor from Hunter College and her DVM from the University of Pennsylvania. She completed a rotating internship at the ASPCA Bergh Memorial Animal Hospital in NYC and started her career in specialty and emergency medicine in Connecticut. Since 2015, she has been part of the West Hills team, focusing on emergency medicine, surgery, and endoscopy.
Dr. Schafer lives on Long Island with her Rottweiler, Carl, and four Pomeranians. She enjoys dog sports, hiking, traveling, and new adventures.
