Yes. Our in-house pharmacy carries a full range of prescription medications and therapeutic diets. We can also write prescriptions for outside pharmacies, though most manufacturers only guarantee products purchased through a veterinary hospital.

What Pet Parents Experience when they choose West Hills Animal Hospital & Emergency Center

A Babylon Family's 2am Emergency And the Outcome That Mattered

Last summer, a Babylon family’s three-year-old Golden Retriever got into the garbage after a backyard barbecue. The remains included chicken bones, corn cobs, and other scraps that dogs should never eat. By 2am, he was retching constantly and his abdomen was visibly distended. Their regular vet was closed, and the closest urgent care had a four-hour wait. They found West Hills and drove the 22 minutes up to Huntington. X-rays revealed a corn cob lodged in the small intestine. Emergency surgery began within the hour. By morning, their dog was in recovery. They were home by lunch. That family’s primary vet now refers all after-hours emergencies directly to West Hills.
